Brian Krzanich is an American businessman who is currently the CEO of Intel Corporation, the world's largest semiconductor chip maker. He was appointed to the position in 2013, becoming the sixth CEO in the company's history. Prior to his appointment, he had served as Intel's Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President.
Krzanich was born in San Jose, California in 1960. He attended San Jose State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. After graduating, he joined Intel in 1982 as a process engineer. He rose through the ranks at Intel, eventually becoming the company's Chief Operating Officer in 2012.
Krzanich has been credited with helping Intel to become a leader in the mobile and cloud computing markets. He has also been praised for his efforts to diversify Intel's workforce and for his commitment to environmental sustainability.
