Jim Clark is an American entrepreneur and computer scientist who co-founded Netscape Communications Corporation in 1994. He is also the founder of Silicon Graphics, Inc., and Healtheon. Clark was born in Texas in 1944 and attended the University of New Mexico, where he received a degree in mathematics. After college, he worked as a programmer for IBM and then moved to Silicon Valley, where he co-founded Silicon Graphics in 1982.
